Crafting The Upton Estate

The Upton Estate began as a dream on the shores of Montreal Island. Over several years James restored, redesigned and transformed its six-and-a-half-acre waterfront into a private sanctuary where architecture, art and nature lived in perfect harmony.

Every space was curated with precision: bespoke furnishings, rare wines, antiques and collectible art came together to create an atmosphere of quiet sophistication. The result was not simply just a home, but a living expression of vision and craftsmanship.

When James later relocated to Europe, the estate stood complete. Not as a project but as a reflection of a chapter well-lived. Its sale set a new record for the highest luxury residential transaction in Quebec’s history, marking both an achievement and a graceful transition to the next chapter of his life.
